Efiong Akwaowo, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Forbes School of Business and Technology at the University of Arizona Global Campus. Dr. Akwaowo holds a PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in International Business from NorthCentral University and a Master of Business Administration in Management along with a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing both from Texas Southern University. He focuses on courses in International Business and Global Strategic Management. He has worked in the corporate arena for more than 15 years in the area of strategic planning and has been teaching traditional and online classes for more than seven years. My favorite thing about teaching is getting to mentor and learn from my students.

Dr. Efiong Akwaowo
Dr. Robert Becker

Dr. Becker is a cybersecurity and privacy consultant with more than 25 years of senior level experience working with Fortune 500 companies.  His expertise is in all aspects of cybersecurity initiatives including architecture, monitoring, data storage, data access, and audits. He is an expert in integration of cybersecurity methodologies involving privacy, legal, and human resources data, and provides guidance on policy and legislative requirements.  He is a pioneer in remediation strategies including management of cybersecurity and cloud migration initiatives and audit compliance requirements.  Systems and platform expertise include mainframes, UNIX (Lynx, AIX) systems, as well as all windows-based systems.  Dr. Becker holds a Doctorate of Computer Science (DCS) In Information Security, a Master in Business Administration (MBA), and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BS in IT). 

Todd De Voe is the Director, Emergency Management for Titan HST and the host of the leading emergency management Show EM Weekly. Todd involvement in Emergency Response, Emergency Management, Education and Volunteer Management started in 1989 when he became a volunteer firefighter in upstate New York. In 1991 Todd joined the United States Navy and became a Hospital Corpsman assigned to the Fleet Marine Force. In 2005 Todd was hired by the City of Dana Point at the Emergency Services Coordinator. In 2008 Todd was asked to be on a steering committee for Coastline Community College, as they developed their emergency management program, later that year Todd was invited to join the faculty.

Today Todd is an instructor of Emergency Management at California State University Fullerton for the MPA program and, The University of California Irvine’s Certificate of Emergency Management. Todd is a graduate of the National Emergency Management Executive Academy’s Cohort VII.

Todd is the President of the International Association of Emergency Managers (Region 9) and is the Region 9 representative on the University and Colleges Caucus.

Dr. Craig Trevor Hansen is the President of the University of Applied Research & Development, a globally-focused higher learning organization with bachelor and masters degrees in education, business, health & safety, emergency management, and leadership. Craig has lived and worked internationally, establishing industry-education pathways and partnerships that hold accreditation in the UK and USA.

Jim Jeremiah is a Professor and Lead Faculty of the Forbes School of Business & Technology at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC). Dr. J’s background also includes business positions as an accountant, controller of a mortgage banking company, Chief Financial Officer, Vice-President of Marketing, Director of Business Development, Regional Sales Manager, Consultant, and CEO.  Jim has worked with profit and non-profit organizations as well as higher education institutions. Jim’s doctorate is in organizational leadership, and he has two master’s degrees and over 35 years of education experience as an instructor, Director of Curriculum, College Chair, Director of Academic Affairs, V-P of Academic Affairs, Provost, and Interim President.

Andrew Jones is an Innovative and trusted strategic planning analyst with 10+ years of hands-on experience launching and managing new business initiatives, driving strategic partnerships, and institutional growth. Track record of meeting and exceeding organizational goals within team-driven and self-guided roles. A leader in transforming business operations, fostering strategic relationships, driving measurable deliverable, and managing project finances.

Dr. Donald S. McKay II has 39 years experience in international business and 10 years in higher education. Don worked in several areas including operations, general management, quality management, project management, and information systems. He resided in Hong Kong for two years, India for two years and Singapore for three years and has led projects or implemented programs in 20 countries. Some of his work includes leading the development of global decision support systems, developing supply chain management processes, and managing continuous improvement programs. He served as guest speaker at several universities and business forums in the U.S. and abroad. Don’s experience in online higher education includes teaching 74 undergraduate and graduate classes in 18 different business subjects. Don also served as a department chair and associate dean at Ashford University. At Ashford University Don and his team enabled a team of 240 adjunct professors to raise their teaching performance scores. Don is currently an adjunct instructor for University of Arizona Global Campus.

Don holds a B.S. in Nautical Science, an MBA in International Business, an M.S. in Management Information Systems, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems (Upsilon Pi Upsilon). Don holds a Project Management Professional certification, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt designation, and a Certificate in Integrated Resources. Don is currently a member of the Project Management Institute.

Don’s personal mission is to enable students to attain their professional aspirations. He works with students to enhance their critical thinking skills, quantitative reasoning abilities, and application of key concepts in business.

Dr. N Jonas Ohrberg

N. Jonas Ohrberg has extensive experience in virtual and traditional post-secondary education as a professor and administrator. Dr. Ohrberg has facilitated undergraduate and graduate-level courses in leadership, organizational strategy, organizational behavior, and a multitude of course subjects at the University of Maryland Global Campus, Forbes School of Business and Technology, and Bowie State University. As a degree Program Chair at Forbes School of Business and Technology, Dr. Ohrberg managed all aspects of an undergraduate degree program.

Dr. Ohrberg has extensive international speaking experience, which includes Kenya, Zambia, and Saudi Arabia. Dr. Ohrberg does extensive work in Kenya and manages a Community Based Organization (CBO) based out of Nairobi, Kenya. The mission of the CBO includes youth employment, empowerment, and career readiness skills development.   Having published articles and presented at conferences, Dr. Ohrberg’ s subject matter expertise includes leadership, organizational culture/behavior, emotional intelligence, and diversity and inclusion. Dr. Ohrberg earned a Ph.D. in Organization and Management with an emphasis in Business Leadership from Capella University.

Adebowale Onatolu (aka DrD) is an Adjunct Professor at University of Arizona Global Campus, Forbes’s School of Business. His academic background includes a BA. degree in Business and Management, MSMC degree in Marketing Communications and a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA). Teaching for Debo was something that he always planned on doing because it would allow him to stay in the classroom and keep him studying forever.

His professional experience includes corporate positions with a National Hospitality company that managed gift shops in fine hotels. He owned and managed an insurance agency for a national insurance company for 10 years before getting into the teaching profession. Dr.D still participates in various conferences and workshops to enhance his knowledge in his business contents areas and has over 15 years of education experience as an instructor and Academic Department Chair. Dr.D likes to watch war movies, American football, soccer, and CNBC and relaxes with marketing and management reading materials.

Dr. Carie L. Powers

Dr. Carie L. Powers joined the REACH.ai executive team in July 2021 as a Senior Director of Client Success with an exceptional track record of building and leading high performing teams.  Previous to this role she served as Regional Director of Admissions at Chamberlain University, with oversight of the major campus locations in the Southwestern United States, leading enrollment/sales onboarding and the admissions lifecycle initiatives.

Prior to Chamberlain University, Dr. Powers held senior leadership positions in Fortune 500 corporate environments including: Barker Educational Services Team (BEST) as Vice President of College Relations/Regulatory Compliance; Director of Human Resources for Compass Telecommunications, Inc.; a member of the executive cabinet for Compass Corporate Holdings, Inc.; and 10 years in leadership at the University of Phoenix with responsibility for a broad range of student enrollment functions.

Dr. Powers received her Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University, Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix, and her Doctorate from University of New England.

Randy is a retired Navy SEAL with 22 years of military service. He has served in multiple combat deployments. In 2012 Randy was named SEAL/Sailor of the Year for SEAL Team SEVEN and went on to be awarded SOY for all Naval Special Warfare Command. He served as the Leading Chief/Course and Program director for NSW Combatives department for almost three years. He developed the current combatives program that SEAL operators learn today and is the pinnacle of hand-to-hand combat training.

In 2016, Randy retired from the military and continued on with a life of service by becoming a firefighter for the City of San Diego. He helped teach the department’s active shooter response classes and designed the combative patient management course for SDFD.

In 2018, Randy formed his own business, American Warrior Combatives where he continues to teach military, law enforcement, 1st responders, and civilian personal in self-defense and combatives techniques.

Randy is a California registered paramedic, Naval master training specialist, and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has a bachelor’s degree in General Studies from American Military University and is currently finishing up his master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from National University.
